Automac IT is developed by beautifulplanet. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. We designed the product to minimize data collection.
| Data | When | Where Stored | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | At purchase (via Stripe checkout) | Stripe + our license server | Deliver license key, purchase support |
| License key | Generated after purchase | Our license server (Cloudflare KV) | Validate your license |
| Machine ID | When you activate the extension | Our license server (Cloudflare KV) | Enforce 3-device activation limit |
| Stripe session/customer ID | At purchase | Stripe + our license server | Process refunds, link purchase to key |
When you use Automac IT, your messages and scrubbed tool output are sent to the AI provider you configure (GitHub Copilot or Anthropic). This is a direct connection from your machine to the provider. We are not a party to that data flow.
The extension stores the following data locally on your machine only:
%APPDATA%/automac-it/audit/ recording which scrub rules fired (not the actual PII). Auto-deleted after 30 days.None of this local data is transmitted to us or any third party.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
Our website (automac-it.pages.dev) uses Google Ads conversion tracking to measure ad effectiveness. This may set cookies in your browser. No analytics data is collected from the VS Code extension itself.
